Default Brake lights working intermittently

I noticed tonight that my brake lights are not coming everytime. Also, when I try to shift out of park, I have to hit the brake pedal 3 or 4 times before the switch in the shifter "clicks" and I can pull it out. This started within the last two days. I assume the root cause of both of these is the switch/sensor on the brake pedal. My questions are where is it, how do I replace it & how much does it cost?

Hello, mother. I come bearing a gift. I'll give you a hint. It's in my diaper and it's not a toaster. -Stewie Griffin
