2008 VUE 3.6L
Default '08 Vue XR rear view mirror vibration

On rough roads I get an annoying vibration noise from the rear view mirror. Noise isolated to the mirror itself and not the window bracket. Has anyone had this problem or have a suggested fix? I guess I could toss the whole mirror and replace it with an after market model with a compass!!

I don't have the XR so my answer may not mean much but I haven't had this problem. I assume you have one of the 08's that does not have the compass in the DIC...

Check out the plastic cover in front of the review view mirror. The plastic cover rests against the windshield and occasionally vibrates. A dab of silicone caulking between windshield and that cover should help.

I have the early 08 XR (no compass). Haven't had the vibration problem.
