RWD? I really doubt it. That means the engine and tranny would need to be longitudnally mounted, and I'm quite sure the Lambda platform does not support that, despite the AWD capabilities of it. And making a Redline version of a big heavy FWD SUV is probably a waste of time, for the most part. The driving dynamics would be pretty crappy IMO. You're better off to go look at a Trailblazer SS, while you still can.

Oh crap, I didn't even realize it was shorter. Then I'd definately say no, not right now. You're more likely to see the Prevue concept than that.

I could see a Redline model being a exterior option package like on the VUE or maybe putting the 3.6 D.I. V6 in it, but not shortening the platform or losing doors or changing it to RWD.

I hope not. Nobody needs a dragster SUV and few people would buy it.
No more crudely-done yee-hah! vehicles for GM (Monte Carlo, I'm looking at you...).
Not everybody wants a "Hemi in that thang" to "smoke tires" and play the fool.

I wouldn't mind seeing an Saturn crossover that's 2 regular doors with 2 half doors like the ION QC and like this picture. It could compete with the Honda Element and/or the Toyota FJ (though the FJ is off-roadable, and the Element really isn't), and it wouldn't be like they totally copied the Element because Saturn started the rear half-doors trend on cars in 1999. It could be portrayed as a more outdoorsy small-to-medium SUV to go alongside the VUE, which would be portrayed like a more capable car (which is what a crossover is anyway).

The pricing of the Honda Element and Toyota FJ would make that segment unattractive to GM even if the low sales volumes didn't. A quad door Outlook would be too expensive.

Yes, like I said. If it were done, and it likely won't be. The Theta platform would see it due to lower cost.

I like sport SUV's isn't that redundant though? Anyways GM made the Typhoon in 92-93 and they still have a large following for the limited number of trucks actually produced. I think there is definitely a market for a product like that. I doubt they will make it though.

There is a chance Saturn could get a Lambda based pick-up truck built at Spring Hill. It is more likely though that Chevy will get it over Saturn.
