1995 SC1
Default Another new Florida member

Hello all. My first Saturn was purchased two weeks ago. It's a 1995 SC1 with alloy wheels, nice original blue paint and 76,000 miles on the clock. It was maintained at a local GM dealer. Everything works except the cassette player. I paid $1900, top dollar but to me a bargain. Because of this forum I replaced the ECTS and thermostat first thing, which brought the temp gauge right up. I also replaced the PCV valve and changed the oil and filter. Next weekend will be front and rear struts, ATF fluid, filter and sensor change to follow. Thanks again for a great resource.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Nice, and you live in a state where rust isn't likely to be a huge issue (though I've heard some FL owners who live near teh ocean say the salt humidity is a concern)

Welcome aboard, it's probably a coincidence, but I posted somewhere in the S-series General forum that all of the highest mile S series saturns I knew of were 1995 models (883k, 660k, and ~600k)

I'm honored by your welcome. That kind of mileage is amazing. I also like how the 95 has the nerdy-but-cool 1st gen exterior and 2nd gen interior, with cupholders too.
