2003 VUE 3.0L
Default Sheer luck with 3.0 timing belt break!

2003 Vue 3.0 AWD. Previous owner told me that the original engine had been replaced, so I did not worry about the belt, just everything else. Sure enough, 1,000 miles later, at 132,164, the timing belt broke in a parking lot at the end of a rural road.
Understanding the 3.0 is an interference engine, I feared the worst. The master tech installed the new timing kit and we were thrilled to discover that no valves were bent!
Moral? Without proof, replace!

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
