Default Battery Disconnect Cut-Off SWITCH ?

I have a 95, 96, and 98 SW2.

I alternate driving them, but when winter is full on I often concentrate on one Saturn and just start and idle the other two for 20 minutes or so weekly. Or even take them to the grocery store just to exercise them.

Still, this is NOT GOOD for the Batteries. They tend to last two years at best.

The old style Batteries (not Saturn) have those huge Lead Posts sticking up in the air. Simple and inexpensive Switches have been available for them for decades.

But I can't find anything similar for the newer batteries.

Something that requires no actual install, because to be honest grabbing a wrench and unscrewing the Positive Cable from the Battery is no big deal. Which is exactly what I began doing this Spring, for the first time, and to my 95 SW2 which is off the road and is undergoing a fairly complicated Brake Job.

But flipping a switch would be even easier.

Suggestions ?

A battery disconnect has some major drawbacks the largest one is it will not stop battery self discharge.

The fix is a small battery maintainer. These work very well and are also low cost. I use them for long term storage and have had years of success with them.

You can search for the part number and might find a better choice. Some of these come with leads and some do not so be aware of that. Part number is 12BC1000d-1 will find them all.

I have used this 800 milliwatt battery tender for years...
Waterproof, only drawback is that it will not charge a flat battery,
just maintain one, it needs to have some charge...

Another option is a solar charger, I used one while on deployment for 18 months.
Started right up...

These have quick disconnects, so you can buy extra connectors.
I cut the ring terminal from a "O" to a "C", slid right under the terminals...
