2006 VUE 3.5L
Default 2006 Vue shift knob mod

Hello!!
I was curious as to what I can do about my shift knob in my car.
The "wood grain" on the front is wearing down and it looks terrible!! I was wondering if could maybe use the shift knob off of a 1995-2003 Chevrolet Cavalier? Is that even at all possible? I wanted to ask the forums first before I went and bought one for fear that it might not work. Thank you for you help!

You can certainly try, however that knob seems tremendously out of place in the VUE interior. I'd try to find a vehicle in similar time period. however, in theory it should work all the same. Your best bet is to head to a salvage yard and try it out there and see what works. You'll also be able to see different options and styles you may not be aware to.

The final option is aftermarket. Momo make some really nice looking AT shift knobs. I swapped out my manual knob out for one of theirs, it was a straight forward swap and a great, cost effective upgrade.

2004 VUE Red Line
Default Re: 2006 Vue shift knob mod

I recently pulled a shift knob from an '06 to use in my '04 RL. I pulled the woodgrain piece off and sanded it down, then painted it red
