Default 2008 Vue Hybrid belt noise on auto stop

I have a 2008 Vue Hybrid and the belt make a loud squeal when the vehicle comes out of auto stop.

I had to change the belt twice last fall because it was getting chewed up. Found the cause of the problem, belt tensioner mounting bolt was cracked allowing the tensioner assembly to tilt just enough to cause the belt to be out of aligment. When I went to remove the bolt it broke off.

I purchased a new tensioner assembly before working on the vehicle becuae I was not sure if the issue of the belt being chewed up was one of the pulleys having a bad bearing or not and wanted to make sure I had any part I may need. I got a new bolt and used the new tensioner assembly and replaced the belt. now everytime the auto start kicks in there is a loud squeal and sometimes the vehicle will not start on the first try, annoying.

When I got the new belt I noticed there is two types available one cheaper than the other by about half. I purchased the $25 belt instead of the $50 belt. Is there really any difference between the two belts aqnd could this be the cause of my problem?

As I understand your hybrid system, the starter/generator supplies electric starting during auto engine stop modes. No separate starter. If correct, this means the starting motor applies high torque thru the drive belt system to turn over the engine crankshaft. This also means an extra tight belt to allow belt starting compared to geared starting in conventional starting systems. The starter/generator would require a very tight belt drive system, more so than conventional drive belt systems.
