Default Saturn SL manual Transmission fluid question

Hey everyone i have a question about the fluid on my manual transmission SL. It has 141,000 miles on it and its never been changed. I looked at the color and it still has some pink to it but it also looks dirty. Question is should i change it out? would it be better to?

I consider manual tranny fluid a 100K item,
so at 140K, I would change it.

Use a Dexron III fluid, not Dexron VI,

2.7 quarts...

Use your best judgement. Several of us on this forum (including BV22 and myself) have well over 200K (I'm nearing 219K and BV22 is well over 250K IIRC) on the original transmission fluid. The owner's manual clearly states that 'no maintenance required' on 3rd gen and even the 1st gen read, "replace once at 6K miles". Hence, I personally wouldn't sweat it much.

Shifts like butter at 284 k, but don't adopt my laziness. I'm very gentle to my transaxle, and live in a warm climate.

There is no harm in changing the fluid as long as you use the correct grade, but as TXSaturn suggests, you can go a while longer if need be.
