1999 SW2
Default New Wagon in Portland

Hey everyone,

I just bought a 1999 SW2 5spd DOHC wagon for $600 (211,000 mi) - gonna be my new DD to replace a worn out minivan. While the wagon is very mechanically clean and sound, it does have a few issues for its age, so I stumbled across this site and richpin's youtube videos looking for info.

I can already tell it looks to need a new upper motor mount and a front driver wheel bearing, it has the common ignition key problem. I've been wrenching on my own cars since before I had a license, and ease of working on was a big reason why I decided I wanted a Saturn.

Anyways, hello and I'm glad to be here!

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Welcome to the Saturn Wagon Family. There are several of us here that really like the S-Series and L-Series wagons. Lots of cargo space and easy to work on.

Keep us posted on your repairs and let us know how we can help.

Wow, that's over 2x the mileage of my 1997 SW2 which I bought new almost 20 years ago.

Shoot me a note if you need help/advice from a fellow Portlander. Stay warm this week!
