2009 VUE 3.6L
Default New Vue owner

Just joined a couple days ago and figure I should introduce myself. I'm Rick, and bought a 2009 Vue last weekend for my wife. Havent done anything to it yet beside flush the power steering, sucked out about 16 ozs of fluid and refilled. Have drove it about 500 miles this week, had a couple minor, I hope, issues. I started another thread describing these. Hopefully will give her at least 2-3 years of good service. I know any used vehicle will have an issue or 2 from time to time, but as long as the are minor, you cant complain. It has 135,000 miles on it now. Anything in particular I should watch for? Its a XR model with a 6spd? auto and 3.6l engine.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Change the rest of the fluids,Rick(( drain/fill the trans( no flush!), coolant, motor oil). YOu can put your engine/trans particulars in your sig @ the USER CP.

If it's AWD, do the RDU( read diff) and the transfer case, as well.

ANy maint history?

No history other than the dealer said it came from Atlanta, Ga., I'm about 90 miles north of Atlanta. The driver info system says the oil is at 97%, dropped from 99% when we got it, so thinking it was just changed, looks pretty clean on the stick. Does the trans have a drain plug, or do I need to drop the pan? As for my signiture, how do I get to my profile? I know, dumb question, huh.

AS stated, in USER CP, directly above
"post reply".

CAnt advise on how to service trans, other than do not ignore, as some simple maint. can defer an expensive repair.
