Mad Trouble accelerating

I have an '09 Outlook. For about the last month I've been having problems with acceleration. When I hit the gas pedal the car acts like it wants to stall out. It's going in the shop for its 7th time tomorrow in the last month. Nobody can figure out what's wrong with it. I had the infamous broken wave plate in the transmission back in November. Cost me $2500 to repair it. Currently waiting on reimbursement. Every shop tells me it's the trans acting up again but the trans shop says it's fine. Took it to the dealership Monday and they said my master cylinder is leaking into my brake booster and collapsed my diaphragm and that's what's causing the problem. I'm not having any brake issues so I'm a little confused as to how a faulty master cylinder can cause acceleration issues. Is this possible? They want to replace it for $1000. Please help. It has 113,000 miles on it.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

My 08' had the master cylinder replaced. I received a recall/bulletin for it. You may want to check with your dealer on that.

A cheapy ,IR laser thermometer, pointed at your brakes could tell you if the 1000$ may be justified( or not). - if hot- they are dragging.

I'd think about investigating whether the cat con is plugged/fractured/ferkakta,first, if temp test not definitive

My catalytic convertor under my front passenger side was getting clogged by my Bank 1 catalytic convertor because it was literally falling apart on the inside. If you're able I'd try to remove that and see if anything dumps out of it.
