2002 L200 BCM issues
I have a 2002 L200 with about 70k miles and remote starter that I have taken over from a deceased relative that I either want to sell or perhaps retain in the family, but it has a problem with the BCM, we think...
Some years back, the BCM was found to be faulty at a dealership, and was replaced with a used BCM. It never worked right, but the owner didn't bother to pay more and get it straightened out.
Currently, the car starts and runs perfectly fine, but:
The previous owner only drove it during the day because it couldn't be safely/legally driven at night with the rear red lights not on, and kept track of how much gas had been put in it.
Now I want to figure out how to sell this car or maybe keep it in the family. Obviously, no normal person will want this car as-is; the problems need to be repaired (and it is amazing the owner drove it like that for so long). The question is, can this be repaired for something reasonable?
