Default should I use mobil 1 high mileage 10w-30 in 50-110 degrees since it's on sale?

I currently use 5w-30 valvoline max life with moderate oil consumption and a small valve cover leak?

THey're both 30 weight oils. Buy what you can afford.

It's probably just as good or maybe better than the Valvoline. On sale is the way to go. Many members on this site use it.

Yes.
Synthetic oil compared to ordinary oil is like Catherine Zeta Jones compared to the moving rubbery rock monster that crawled on the floor in the original Star Trek TV show.

IIRC, Somebody's post here said don't use the high mileage oil if you can avoid it. It swells the seals and can cause them to wear and/or the crank shaft to wear.

Do you have a problem with the crank seals leaking? I don't think it's a very common problem on these engines.
