Two Saturn family
After a few posts and much productive reading, it's time to say hello.
We have a 1999 SL1 5-speed manual that now has 230,000 miles. We shared it for five years, 85,000 miles and very few repairs (a clutch but nothing else major). I love that we get 40mpg on the highway, something not many new cars can claim now. Our mechanic swears we are going to easily blow past 300,000 miles. I choose to believe him!
When it came time for a second car, we went for another Saturn. The "new" one is a 2004 Ion 2 Quad Coupe, also a 5-speed manual, with 128,000 miles. Had the power steering motor replaced at no charge at the dealership, and have had no issues at all. The rear doors are so convenient -- it's a feature more cars should have.
We are both very happy with our Saturns -- they are great cars, well-built, and fun to drive.

Re: Two Saturn family
Be careful. This can be addictive. We also started with a '99 SL1, 5-speed I purchased 3.5 years ago.
Just yesterday, I drove home our 5th saturn.
