Default 2005 Saturn Ion Ignition Problems

I have had ongoing problems the ignition on my saturn. First issue was with the key getting stuck in the ignition when in park, then the key getting stuck with car running and not turning off, and now key will not turn all the way and car won't start. The key will turn half way so that lights & radio come on but then is stuck. Over the past year, I have had theignition switch assembly replaced (5/11), the lock cylinder assembly replaced twice (5/11 & 1/12), and the ignition housing replaced (1/12).

Any other ideas on what the issue may be?

Thanks!

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

This tends to be a pretty common issue with the ignition switches. The only thing I have heard of that fixes this problem is replacing the ignition switch (which ironically you have already done).

One of my keys did this. It was the key I used all the time. Spare key worked fine, had dealer cut a new key and now they both work fine.
