So I pulled the idler pulley off this morning after some noise and final demise of it on my way home from work last night...replacing it and the tensioner..
In the mayhem of the drive home, the stud the bolt inserts into looks to be ruined. It's pretty much missing the bottom half...like a soda can cut in half. This is where I'm stuck. Does this stud just screw out allowing for a replacement, or is there more to it? Or am I able to just work with it somehow?? I had to leave for work and didn't have time attempt getting it out. The bolt itself seems fine although the washer looks a little roughed up. Guy a work with called a local Chevy dealer and told him he could order the bolt and stud together for $30. Tips, hints, suggestions greatly appreciated.
