i have a 06 saturn vue red line with factory rims and my i been noticing that my lug nuts get loose between every 2 weeks or so, could the aluminum wheels be the cause of it? getting hot and cold,(meaning how aluminum expands when hot and shrink when cold)does anybody else has this problem or just somebody wants me dead!!! lol

How are you tightening them (ie with the vehicle on the ground or while the vehicle is in the air)? Are you torquing them? If so, to what?
In short, aluminum wheels can have a tendency to loosen the lug nuts due to the heating as you described. But usually not to the point of being noticeably loose- they just loosen by 15-20 ft-lbs or so and retorquing them once should be good. ... 2012 Ford Escape V6 Limited AWD 2004 VUE 2.2L 5 speed 1997 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4

I believe it's 100 ft-lbs.

RGPA - spot-on ... according to service manual the torque is 100 ft pd - tightened in a star pattern - if they loosen again after being torqued - the lug-nuts should probably be replaced (don't even want to think about the studs).

And it's a really good idea to mount the wheel and tighten all the lug nuts while the vehicle is in the air. I don't torque them in the air, but I can usually wedge my foot under the tire enough to keep it from spinning too much while I tighten the lugs- in a star pattern. And when I do set it on the ground and do the final torqueing, I'm usually no more than 1/2 turn away from the torque spec.
