Default grind on front right wheel - bearing?

My 2000 SL2, 76,000 miles, was suffering thumping symptoms of a warped rotor and was also grinding while slowing to a stop with the brakes applied - both a mild noise and a thrumming feeling through the steering wheel.

Today I replaced rotors, pads, and pins, rotors were cleaned with brake cleaner before installation, lubed everything appropriately with caliper grease during reassembly, and the warped rotor symptoms are gone (and the braking is much better).

The car is still thrumming through the steering wheel as it finishes braking to a stop, speeds about <10 mph with the brakes lightly applied. No difference whether turning or going straight; no grinding or vibrations when turning without brake pressure applied, no grinding or vibration when coasting to a stop.

Could this be a wheel bearing issue, or are there other suggestions?

Default Re: grind on front right wheel - bearing?

Most likely that is the abs system activating. Check the reluctor wheels on the outer cv joints and make sure they are not cracked, usually this does not cause the abs light to activate.
