So I,m in the process of fixing the hail damage on my coupe, its black and a lot of dents, so I am working on the roof, got it bondo'd still gotta finish it and put a couple coats of primer, I have a decklid off a wrecked car I'm gonna paint the inside and use cause it has no dents, went to a JY today and they had one car with a hood but after looking at it good it had been repaired and I figure if I gotta rework it I might as well do mine but that will take a day to fix just ot get it ready for primer.
So I gonna do a color change and want opinions, I have some black sapphire metallic, very fine metallic, and some black metallic, I was gonna 2 tone it with some Sublime green camaro color, then I thought some camaro SS type stripes, but just gonna make it easy and either do the first to mentioned, so what do u think? And another thing now do u find your old threads cause I'm gonna try and post a build thread. So blk sapphire or blk metallic ?

Black sapphire or black metallic sounds good, but without seeing a picture of them its hard to say.
Is there something that made you decide against paintless dent repair for the hail dents? The headliner comes out pretty easily, just have to remove a bunch of plastic and not crease the headliner in the process. I've had PDR done before and the dents came out nice, but the clown added a few scratches to the clearcoat in the process. Yeah I have done PDR when I worked at the Saturn plant but didn't want to have to pull the H/L, from expierence that with all the bracing in and around the sunroof that access is limited, I did take a propane torch and and do the heat and shrink method, the paint was in bad shape and will prime and block it, I will do some PDR and heat shrinking on the hood since a new one cost to much for me, lol, JY one didn't work out,
the Black Sapphire Met., is pretty much black with very fine blue mica, I mean very fine, so it will be pretty much black with sparkles, the Blk. Met looks almost like a very dark gray, with silver sparklies, think I gonna do the first, a buddy says I should do a 2 tone Sublime green/Black bottom, but I don't know,

I had the feeling you knew your way around PDR and the reasons why you were doing it this way. The black sapphire met. sounds nice, just remember with darker colors in summer the inside of the car will bake.
Two-tones can be great or bleh, the colors have to both complement each other and look good on the car, if you have decent photoshop skills you could do a mockup. ... #4, 1995 SC2m, 163K, 400 Miles per quart, black leather interior, Factory Moonroof that works. #5, 1998 SW2m, rebuilt at 126K, running nicely after 10K miles.
