2002 L-Series 3.0L Sedan
Default Looking for Instrument Panel

I would like to change out the plain black instrument panel in my L300. I would like something with some color. It is hard finding after market parts for the L series. Any help with where I can find a place to find updated parts for my Saturn would be greatly appreciated.

2002 L300 Sedan V6 Burgandy.

There aren't many real aftermarket solutions. One popular method is to swap gauges with other GM vehicles. Most commonly gauges from the Pontiac Torrent, Saturn Vue and Chevy Equinox are used. They are all the same size with the same connector as the L series so they plug right in and work, barring some issues with some of the lights that may not work correctly. I am currently running gauges from an 03' Torrent in my L200, I also have gauges from an 03' Vue that I swap in occasionally. The thread linked below on sixthsphere is a great source of information on this, its where I got all my info when I did mine. Check it out.

Hey macman90;

That's exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate your quick response. Guess I need to warm up the soldering iron.

Thanks.

I was just thinking if I want to change the color of the lights.
I have LEDs under the headlights, LEDs where the fog lights go and green lights on the windsheild wipers. I also have red LEDs in the bottom bolts of the license plate. The officers told me I could not have red or blue.

Thanks

There was a thread that was just posted about swapping led bulbs in the cluster. Seems easy enough, I will forward the details sent to me via PM. But now after find this out, thanks macman, I will be on the look out for a different cluster, swap bulbs and then drop it in without screwing about with the stock one.

Well I took the cluster out to see of I could do it and to check to see what kind of lights were in there. The only LED was on the mileage, the others are all incandescent. I kept one out so I could match it but, I might have messed up something. Now, my headlights stay on all the time. I don't know if I pinched the wire going to the sensor or not.

Can anybody tell me maybe what I might have done and tell me if I can put LEDs back in with the same load?
