Question 2003 Ion. Help?

I have a 2003 Saturn Ion Coupe with ~166000 miles. The check engine light went off about a week and a half ago. I had the code scanned at Auto Zone and it came back as "low O2 sensor readings"; the code said the likely causes were:
1. catalytic converter
2. vacuum leak
3. oil leak into exhaust valve (or something akin to that)
and a forth which I can not remember.

Any ideas/tips? I was just curious what the symptoms of each of these are, and how to diagnose. I don't have the money to pay for a mechanic diagnosis right now..

Thanks!

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

With that many miles, you cats probably plugged up. Vacuum leak I doubt would be the problem, and as long as you are checking you oil on a regular basis and your not adding say a liter a month, I say cat.

I would just get an aftermarket one, if you are looking for a bit better performance there is nothing wrong with getting a high flow one either.
