Hi Everyone!
I am looking at a friends car and I want to make sure what I did is proper and doesnt screw them over. Her car (Volvo 740 .. late 80's) was idling very low (has been for a few months at least) and was starting to stall at stop signs and bumper to bumper, stop and go traffic. I took a look and didn't immediately see an idle screw, but I saw I could adjust it by adjusting the long nut on the acceleration cable. I found a diagram online and highlighted the piece that I adjusted. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/dustinhouck/5976713718/) It doesnt seem right - and almost seems like this would be a bad thing, but it essentially fixed the problem. I'm thinking that my next course of action should be to set it back as it was and just clean out the throttle body with carb fluid or something. Thoughts?
