Default Beware of 2005 VUE RL Recall

This is to reprogramm the PCM to eliminate gear hunting at 25-45 mph.
All well and good--But YOU WILL LOSE YOUR TOP END. It will be governed at 100 mph like the base VUEs. They have reprogrammed mine 3 times and are on line with GM Tech trying to get my top speed limiter removed as it came from the factory it would run 120+ mph.

REWARD EXCELLENCE!

Any reason you need to go that fast?

Sorry to rain on your post, but this is the Sky area. Might want to re-post this in the Vue area to see if anyone else may have some insight as to how this can be corrected.

Edit: I see that you did also post the same information in the Vue RL area. Hope GM can give you the "fix" you need to be back to 120+ (on the track, of course)

So you think people would rather be able to exceed 100MPH then stop their tranny from burning up?

On top of that, I have never been in an SUV I considered even remotely safe at 100MPH.

From the looks of it, after four posts he fizzled out around here.

If it's that important to you, just take it to a local tuner and have them remove the speed-limiter with HPT.
