Default Air pump removal

I have a 2002 Saturn sc2 with some breathing mods and I have replaced the egr valve and reset the computer now it's throwing the code that it needs an air pump, is there any way to just remove the air pump and still pass emmissions?

I reckon most turbo-fied Saturns are pre-gen-3.
