Default Coilover question

Ok so I have a question about coilovers. I know that the Aura shares the same platform as the 2003 and up saab 9-3 which they make coilovers for. So my qeustion is will these coilovers work on an Aura?

I am not so sure the Saab and Aura are on exactly the same chassis, The Saab has a 105 X 59.3 inch wheelbase X rear track while the Aura is 112.5 X 60.3 inch.

The Saab is shorter and quite a bit heavier so the Springs and shocks should be different. The Saab would need a stiffer spring and quicker shock than the Aura. If your intention is to stiffen it up in the rear, then they might work. Just not positive the lengths will be the same.

Maybe a part number search at Napa might help.
Good luck

current cars which share the epsilon platform. doesn't mean you can use the same suspension. It could have different mounting option. Anyways here's the list
Current vehicles based on this platform:

* Regular
o 2002 Opel Vectra
o 2003 Saab 9-3
o 2004 Chevrolet Malibu
o 2006 Cadillac BLS

* Extended
o 2003 Opel Signum
o 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
o 2005 Pontiac G6
o 2005 Fiat Croma
o 2007 Saturn Aura

Well I was thinking about just ordering them from a local shop that way if they don't match up I can take em back and get my money back. If they don't work then I will probably just end up with the Eibach srpings. I just wanted something that were more aggressive.

Ok so I did some more research and the Saab 9-3 struts are the same part# as the Aura ones just the last digit is different. When I looked at pics of the saabs coilovers online and looked at a strut for the Aura the only thing that looked different is where the brake line mounts. So it looks like come spring I'm gonna find out if they fit or not cause I plan on buying em for my b-day present to myself in february.

Phaeton, actually the 9-3s are far far lighter, even in the 2.8Turbo variant.
