Heater Blower Issue - 2000 LW1

I have a 2000 LW1. The heater gets hot and blows, but blows really really lightly. The climate control knob (that directs air to the defrosters, vents, feet, etc...) turns but does not change the air flow. Also, the button that selects fresh or recycled air does not work. It illuminates, but does not change the air flow.

The other controls on that panel (rear defroster, fan speed, etc...) work fine.

It appears that, perhaps, the weak blowing is caused by the climate control positioning being stuck in an in between position. I may be wrong, but that is my assumption. The blower motor makes enough noise to sound like it's doing the job. The speed selector switch works, but only increases the blowing moderately.

Is there an easy fix to correct the climate control knob? Once i get that working, then i can determine if the blower motor has issues or not.
