Most likely just means it is a stock DOHC trans.

I would think that if it was a high performance trany that he would list it a little better. Better pics, better info. if it is a brand new stock DOHC trany that is an amazing price, however.

...
That's my opinion,

Not that great. These guys seem to have pallets of them for sale. Unless the cool plastic crate is worth $100 to you. I still wouldn't give $500 for a trans.

Thanks for the link. I'd be willing to pay $500 if I knew my diff-pin was going out. Seems like it would be cheaper than paying someone to open the tranny up.

Or you can spend $50 for a junkyard tranny at a u-pull-it yard.

Yeah, but for a person like me with no car skillzzz to speak of, the idea of a 0-mile tranny is verrrrrrrry appealing. The lowered risk factor seems worth it for the price. I could put one in the garage as insurance. If/when my diff pin blows, swap it in and be good to go with the minimum down time.

If you have the know-how to swap your own tranny, you should have the know-how to follow instructions on differentracing's site to take the tranny apart, and you can check the bearings and such while you're in there, and make sure it's going to be good. Don't get me wrong, a 0 mile trans does have an appeal to it, but with some patience and thought, you can find a ~50k mile trans in the junkyard that wouldn't even be worth bothering to take apart, just get it & put it in for under $100. For some people the extra $ is worth it, to others it's not.
