Default Aftermarked DVD install

Has anyone installed an aftermarket roof-mounted DVD? I am going to put on in on Tuesday and was wondering if there were any tricks with removal of the headliner. I have an XR/AWD with the sunroofs. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Default Re: Aftermarked DVD install

i had mine installed by the dealer, i just talked them down on the price of the unit and the install. this way it's covered by the bumper to bumper warranty.

i also figure you're messing with vehicle wiring that you do not want to screw up. also making sure the connections are sodered and not crimped with electrical tape is key. also, if you screw up the headliner, good luck buying a new one in a reasonable amount of time.

i'm not sure if you're a professional or not, so i don't mean to sound insulting, but if you're not a professional i wouldn't attempt that one. i've done a lot of car stereo and alarm installs, but i didn't mess with this kitty. good luck either way.
