For those that have the side steps I have a few questions that I could really use some advice on before I purchase:

1. Are they black/ebony non-skid on the top?

2. Are they large enough for an adult use them to step into the vehicle. To me all the picture appear like they are too shallow but from some of the comments here it appears that's not the case.

3. For those that did the install yourself, what tools are required for the install. The folks at Saturnaccessories told me the holes are pre-drilled and the instructions are detailed. I am not good with my hands so had to ask.

1. Yes, black/ebony on top, its molded plastic, with grooves to prevent slipping.
2. Yes, I use them to dry off the top of the vehicle, they are strong(215lbs)
3. I installed the steps, you did not have to drill any holes, tools were sockets and wrenches. I can scan in the directions or take closer pictures of top of steps if you need it..
