Default Shifting Issue

I my opinion my Redling shifts too hard at high RPM. Especially from 1st to 2nd, the shifter seems to bind up and not go into gear, subsequently causing me to eaither hit the rev limiter, or grind the clutch. When I drive my brothers Cobalt SS it is much smoother and I don't have that problem, so it's not that I don't know how to drive it. I took it to the dealer and they said it was normal, but I'm sure it's not normal, since the Cobalt SS is hardly as hard to shift. Anyone else noticed this?

Hmm... that's weird. I have never noticed anything that severe, but it did take me some practice to get the hang of the Redline's transmission. I know that you said you have already compared it to the Cobalt SS, but in general if you're hitting the rev limiter during normal driving, you probably need to ease off the accelerator a little!

Cheers,
Ag+

Wrench Re: Shifting Issue

Here's a hint, check your hydraulics on your clutch system, maybe add some fluid, or even replace the master and slave cylinders to the clutch system. That would be the big problem and that would cause it.
