2005 VUE 2.2L
Default POSSIBLY a New ('07?) VUE?

http://forums.autoweek.com/thread.js...ssageID=325043

That link leads to another forum that has some pics of what could possibly be a future VUE... Doesn't look too bad... Sad thing is it apparently would not be a VUE only platform (since the poster says the vehicle in question would be the new Isuzu Rodeo...) Of course these pictures have also been posted as Saab's new SUV, the new VUE and the new Equinox...

Can't wait to see the real deals when they become public!

Just noticed something in those pictures... Front view shows a European tag on the front while the rear view is a US Manufacturer plate...

I think that's the Chevy S3X, a Daewoo design that will be showing up in Europe. Rumors have been flying all over the place that it will end up here as the VUE. It's not on the same platform as the VUE. I personally don't think we will see it. The VUE will have minor updated styling for '06, so I doubt they plan to entirely replace the vehicle for '07. I don't know what GM has up their sleeves for the next generation VUE, which I would expect around '09. Maybe they don't even know themselves; they are probably waiting to judge consumer reaction from the upcoming Saturn products and styling direction. My guess is that the next VUE will be on its same Theta platform, and its design has not been made yet. We'll probably see some styling influences from Opel and other European vehicles such as the S3X.

There are many vehicles still not for sale (or even really talked about) that are using Theta, including the upcoming Pontiac Torrent and Suzuki SUV, the possible Saab 9-5X, and a Cadillac crossover. IMO, Theta has some time.

It is the S3X... As soon as I find the reveal pics of the Chevy S3X, i'll post the link. The S3X was already "unveiled/sneak peeked" to the press

I am sure this could change for the production version, but I am pretty sure I read that the VUE is going to have the luggage bars go crossways now...

The Vue is being reworked for '06, new front/rear end. The dealership I work at won Saturn's Summit Award, at the meeting a Saturn rep had a pic of the '06 Vue. Very similar to the pics linked above. Little more pronounced 'Relay-esque' hood-headlight lines. Along with confirming rumors of a mid-'06 Vue hybrid vehicle.

..so no-'07; '06.

Nope...we will continue to build the VUE at Spring Hill until 2007. We couldn't build a Envoy sized SUV currently...

So no Envoy sized 07 VUE.

There will be a larger Saturn SUV but it will be in addition to the VUE and not replace it. Look for it around 07.

Which will also mean that it will be a steel body SUV.
