I just got from Harbor Freight a Butane Mini Torch, from Walmart a can of Refill Butane, and from eBay Heat Shrink Wire Connectors.

In the center of the connector there is a low temperature solder sleeve that will melt down when heat is applied. In the connector extreme sides are melt adhesive compound that will seal waterproof the wires.

It all depends how good you apply! Make sure to start from the center. When you see the tin sleeve is melting down go to the rest of the connector. Heat will spread to the sides shrinking the tube.

IT IS WAY QUICKER THAN USING AN IRON SOLDER
