Default Re: How many miles are on your L?

129,000 on a 2001 L200.

The only problem was that the o rings in the heater core had to be replaced (under $1, my labor).

I can't over emphasize the importance of oil and filter change every 3000 and to flush the Auto trans at 30 -40K. Change the brake fluid at 30K and the power steering fluid at 50K. Antifreeze at 30K.

If you don't do that maintenance, don't complain if you have problems.

Antifreeze lubricates the water pump, which is a pain to change.

Power steering fluid becomes contaminated and can lead to premature failure, which is expensive.

It's a lot cheaper and easier to flush the auto trans fluid every few years than to repair or replace thge transmission.
