I never tightened them down to 48 , removed and cleaned them. I got ahead of myself. I'll admit that. I didn't chase the threads or anything. The other high mileage block I had my low mileage head on , everything went very smooth. Bolts went in great , timing lined up nice.
Not this setup though.
I think I tightened the loose feeling bolts a little so they felt more consistent. I did use new bolts again. Wasted a set of bolts on the old block.
