Really when all is said and done, any S Series with the Sx1 fifth gear will pull really good MPG on the highway. Around town the gearsets don't seem to matter as much and the twin cam cars come close. And really even at lower highway speeds the twin cam cars do well. The auto tranny cars do decent, but the manual does great.

Tire size changes aren't needed for the single cammers to pull solid MPG return. My 10 year average MPG is over 36 MPG with a good mix of short trips and overall a fairly small amount of highway driving over 10-15 miles.
