Typically when the ECTS goes, it leaks on the connector and you get corrosion. That connector's almost impossible to clean. If your connectors the least bit green, you need to replace it. Those $7 after market sensors are good most of the time but, they do have a higher failure rate than the OEM sensors. So, if you suspect you got a dud, go ahead and replace it.
