Removing the window crank is fairly easy, you can probably just stick a thin flat-blade screw driver behind the crank (I have done this before) and there should be a little clip, and this should release it....be careful though...so it doesn't fly too far. Once that clip is removed the crank handle should easily just slide off. Make sure you don't lose the clip, you will need to put this back on during re-assembly.
