I can understand this response, however, it also demonstrates why one should be careful about making certain statements without the benefit of some background knowledge. In this case, the DTC P0502 can result in hard shifts. The only way to know this is to have access to a FSM, and I couldn't have known otherwise. Could it be necessary to replace a shift solenoid? Maybe, but that's a hasty recommendation at this time. It can only be considered after the primary issue has been resolved.
