Katie,

That's a good tip. A few of mine were kind of difficult to move so I slid them back and forth then lifted. I sprayed them with silcone (the magic spray for plastic and rubber parts).

A former roommate has a 1993 and 3 yrs ago it had 180K on it and the car was losing tons of anti-freeze. He had the head gasket replaced. When I saw him a few months ago he was still driving the car and now it has about 210K on it!

Have you had to replace the alternator? He had to replace his ever 2 or 3 yrs.
