Thanks for the reply back.

Well... I'm already at 277+ K miles on my car.
I'm surprised it's still going.

How difficult would it be to change it?
I really don't want to spend, what I assume will cost more than what the car is worth to have it changed.

There is no belt. There's a timing chain. They typically last for 100K-150K miles I'd say. And I don't believe there's a way to tell unless you remove the timing cover and check they extension of the tensioner.
