Re: Pictures?

I believe the picture part of the site ain't functional for adding new stuff. I'd suggest Photobucket or some other picture hosting service and then you can post the image location into a thread.

Re: Saturn VUE returns (sort of)

These are basic Civic LX models, I'd imagine that they residualize really well and are hard to destroy. Easy money makers for the rental places. I'd prefer a Civic rental over the Cobalt junk they...

Re: Saturn VUE returns (sort of)

Living in the land of rental fleets, it is amazing to see what gets dumped into fleets. Am in a rental right now and it started off with an Altima Hybrid and am now in a Impala LT, both loaded. The...

Re: Saturn VUE returns (sort of)

This is pretty pathetic. Chevrolet has a ton of fleet sales already, so what is a few more? By going fleet only, they won't have to answer the pundits when the sales are low as fleets will buy them...

Re: Drilling gas tanks for gas in SC

I used to work in York County when I started my career, Fort Mill is in that county, great place with nice people. There is also an over-representation of trailer trash. Frig, how I hated going to a...

Re: Saturn S-Series bumper decal

I remember the lettering you are talking about - you should be able to get a shop that cuts the vinyl window graphics to cut the same thing out of vinyl pinstripe material. I would trace use charcoal...

Re: now that saturns gone what happens????

A 12 year old Saturn is not a hot commodity. Drive it till it starts costing you money. There were never any Saturns that were destined for collectible status - no convertibles, no muscle cars, no...

Re: Mercedes takes over Smart cars from Penske

This one was black, it looked good though.

The GLK would be great for a small TDI motor as well.

Re: Mercedes takes over Smart cars from Penske

Me too, I saw one while getting on the Lewes Ferry going to Cape May and saw one down here. The thing with BMW prices is that people lease them and leasing a diesel makes no fiscal sense. They are...

Re: Mercedes takes over Smart cars from Penske

I remember seeing one about 10 years or so ago that was being used as a promotional vehicle and the guy showed me the motor. IIRC, it was a MB 3 banger diesel or something like that. Thought it had...

Re: Mercedes takes over Smart cars from Penske

Makes perfect business sense, this is why Saturn was able to lose money year after year but still survive off the GM profits from SUVs. If Mercedes would put a decent, smaller TDI motor in their...

Re: Where to go now that Saturns are no longer sold?

That is funny, there is a former Saturnfan that has a JSW/TDI that is on the VW forums. The JSW does drive great and you'll get far better fuel mileage in real world driving than you will from...

Re: Where to go now that Saturns are no longer sold?

I haven't had a Saturn since early 2004. Switched to Honda products - a 2006 CRV-SE, 2007 Civic EX-Navi and the current 2008 Odyssey Touring. I have a 2011 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI w/DSG on order. Had...

Re: Goodbye Saturn: Thanks for the Ride (1985-2010)

While in college in the late 1980s, I first read of the Saturn brand being formulated. Followed it ever since then. In May or June of 1991, I bought one of the first Saturns, a 1991 SL2, medium blue...

Re: Bad Experience with Chevy Dealer

If I were stuck in the woods after eating too much fiber and the only piece of paper left was a CR magazine, I'd use tree bark, even if the CR was pre-softened.

I know the Mitsubishi site is...

Re: Bad Experience with Chevy Dealer

Not to kill a dead horse on the Mitsubishi products but look at this site (http://www.mitsubishisucks.com/) before you buy one.

Re: Bad Experience with Chevy Dealer

Ditching a car because a part wasn't available is extreme. One thing my father always told me when there was a neat car that would come out from Mitsubishi or one of the off-brands was to call their...

Re: Will you commemorate the end of Saturn??

I have a Ford Escape Hybrid and Honda Odyssey Touring in the garage and the Ody has no antenna, any suggestions?

I still pass a Saturn dealer every so often that is in the area, it still has the...

Re: The new cruze looks like an ION redone. IMHO

From those angles, I see where the silhouette is similar. For the Cruz' sake, lets hope that the comparison and similarities end with that.

Re: A reputation thing I don't get

If you get 4 green squares, you can get a Egg McMuffin for a $1 at most participating McDonald's.
