I removed the hard line from the master cylinder and nothing came out. I used an air gun and shot some compress air in the port and the fluid came out. So there is some crap or dirt in the master...

Yes, a fews yrs back, I have a brake fluid tester tool that tests if the fluid is good or bad and it is still good.

Installing the clutch

I installed a new clutch and about to put the transmission back on. Does the output shaft and the throw out bearing need to be greased? If so what grease do I use? Or do I install it dry?

Yes it is the front bearing and the outer race of the bearing is stuck inside. I'm using the harbor freight wheel bearing press tool. I tried using the adapters to press out the race and it didn't...

Changing out the coolant

I'm going to change out the coolant on my Saturn and after I put the new coolant in, after I start the car, do I turn the AC on with the fan speed on high? Or the AC off with the fan speed high?

No, not making it pretty, just want the block nice and clean before the rebuild. Trying to get out all the dust and small dirt particles and the oil channels/passages cleaned out.

My friend bought a used Saturn engine block and it is stripped to the bare block and it needs some cleaning. Can it be done using car wash soap and hot water and using compressed air to dry it?

I live in Chicago and wondering if it is ok to use 10W30 all year round even when the temperature gets into the single digits? My Saturn does burn a little oil.
