Re: My Leaking Outlook

If your Outlook has the dual sunroof option, your dealer is a complete IDIOT for not knowing there is a campaign repair for all Outlooks in '07 (and some '08s I think) to replace the sunroof drain...

Re: 2007 outlook power sterring noise

I had the same noise, I thought the power steering pump was failing. After the second visit they said they found the "fix" was to overfill the resevoir. So far it seems to work.

Has anyone felt...

Re: Wiper Blades

I bought the NeoForm blades at AutoZone for buy one get one free after rebate a couple of months ago, so both cost me $20 in the end. They also give a 90 day warranty on them so if you get streaking...

Re: Power liftgate opens by itself

They replaced the switch in the bottom of the rear hatch and it has not opened unexpectedly since.

Interesting, I saw this thread from 2007 just now:...

Power liftgate opens by itself

I watched our 2007 XR rear hatch open 10 times by itself last night. It behaves exactly as if someone is pushing the remote button to open it. I hear the "bings" and then the hatch opens. The only...

Re: Can you install a navigation system in an 09 XE?

A definite maybe! If you are referring to a factory NAV unit, read on.

I did it in my '07 XR with the advanced audio package. Below is a link to my detailed posting of the steps to do this. It is...

Re: Personal Audio Link problems

I installed a unit from Peripheral Solutions in my Buick Lucerne with the factory NAV system and it works great. The Buick NAV is almost identical with the Outlook, except there is no rear...

Re: Wrong Radio for Bose System

I have heard of the loud door chime problem when people have upgraded their standard radio to the NAV system. Sometime programming works once you clear out the old VIN stored in the radio and update...

Rough steering - possible problem?

Maybe I'm being a hypochondriac after reading the "Cams" thread, but lately I have noticed the steering being a little rough or twitchy, I know that would not be related to cams and cylinder heads...

Re: XE FWD How many miles per tank of gas

Figure the tank is 20 gallons if you run it pretty low.

Highway MPG that we see in a 2007 XR FWD is about 22-24 MPG under best conditions and running 60-70 MPH. So that is about 425-450 miles.

Re: HELP....Outlook XR Battery Issues

When you get it back, park it in your garage and be sure it is as dark as possible. Get in the car, close the door, and look everywhere you can for any sign of a light that might be on. I have heard...

Re: Repacing a speedometer cluster?

My guess is that you will. When I installed the factory NAV unit to replace the stock radio I had to do a reprogram of the chasis computer to recognize it. This is just a guess for a speedo.

Just...

Re: AWD vs. FWD

Bob,

We did not drive in the storm, but immediately afterward, on unplowed streets, it ran great. I saw no need for AWD. If you think you'll get way off road, get the AWD. If it is typical...

Re: AWD vs. FWD

I live in Columbus, OH also, and I personnaly would never consider an AWD.

The mileage hit may be small (per the EPA on the window sticker but I would love to hear real-world numbers from drivers...

Re: Why aren't they discounted???

Here in Columbus, OH I think today's ads showed discounts on Outlooks around $1000. Maybe it depends on where you are in the US and supply and demand in the area.

Re: Worst Service - Ever

This is why, even though we like our '07 Outlook, I would not buy a Saturn again (probably). I have to literally drive past a Buick dealer, then a Pontiac dealer, then a Chevy dealer (all within a...

Re: Multiple Leaks (Water) and Acceleration Issues

Have you had the transmission software updates done? Is yours a 2007 or '08? I had to have my '07 reflashed for the latest version. They deisgned the shiftpoints for economy, not performance. I don't...

My 2007 XR with sunroof goes in for the drain line replacement on Wednesday. I wish I had the time to watch the procedure as they have to remove the headliner to do this. I never had water on the...

Re: Opinions wanted: Mystery Nav and OnStar shutdown

Do you have a sunroof? Maybe you got a water leak like those reported (myself included) that caused some electrical issues when it dripped into the fuse block. My water poured out of the center dome...

I installed a set in December and have had no wind noise issues at all. Limited time with the windows down since the weather is cold, but none heard so far.

Ditto, cash buyer also for our loaded XR. I am blessed to be able to do this.
I doubt many people would want to give monthly payments as that is personal and also varies widely by circumstances. Big...
