How hard is it to replace an A/C clutch on an 06 with a 2.2 engine?

The clutch is getting power but not engaging the compressor. How hard is it to get the clutch off on these cars? can it be done without loosing the refrigerant?

Re: 95 sl2 won't start

Just an update, after sitting for months it fired up and ran fine. So it must be something ignition related like the module.

Re: 95 sl2 won't start

The plugs are getting fuel, Fuel pressure is correct, the CTS is reading correctly, spark is great, and compression is good. I even sprayed carb cleaner in the intake to see if it would fire over...

Re: 95 sl2 won't start

It mostly pops back through the exhaust but it does occasionally backfire through the intake. The coolant sensor is fine. I checked it with the scan tool and it is reading within a couple of...

Re: 95 sl2 won't start

There is pressure coming out the tail pipe when cranked and the exhaust is only a few weeks old so i doubt the exhaust is plugged.

95 sl2 won't start

I have been checking everything I can think of and I still can't get it to start. It will almost start but then it also backfires. The CTS is reading properly, EGR is ok, fuel pressure is OK,...

Re: Has your retailer closed yet

I agree. There are two dealers here in Rochester and I suspect one will be closing shortly. Saturn's days are numbered. When Saturn first started they made a reliable budget vehicle. They also...

Re: Dust cover for front axle

The cheap hubcaps will not seal around the hub. Water and salt will still get inside and rust the axle nut. Besides they look awful.

Dust cover for front axle

I just put on steel wheels with my snow tires today on my 07 fwd v6 vue. The rims do not cover the hub center that has the axle nut in it. I checked the local auto parts store and they do not have...

Re: Fram oil filters

I only use the manufacturers oil filter that I buy from the dealer for my cars while they are under warranty. Once they are out I use WIX or napa gold which is a wix.

It is not that easy to do unless someone make a complete kit to put a turbo on your car.

Re: VUE 2007 AWD Towing question

+1

If it is rated for 3500 it is not going to break at 4000. I have a 2007 FWD V6 vue and it pulls my 3K pound boat around without any problems. I am sure that I am probably over 3500 with fuel...

Re: Oil Change at 3000?

If you don't plan on keeping the car past 100k miles then just do it when the OLM says it needs to get done. If you plan on keeping the car until it falls apart I would change it every 3K.

Re: OnStar question

I hope not because the phone is the only thing my wife uses. If they cancel it I guess I will have to renew the onstar.

Re: OnStar question

According to onstar the phone will not work after my subscription expires. However, my subscription expired last week and my phone still works. So I guess I won't renew it.

Re: How's your VUE so far?

You should pick up a used 07 with the Honda V6. The 2008 is a step backwards.
