Re: New SL2 Owner, high idle speed-
I'd clean the throttle body and the air idle control valve before I jumped in and replaced the TPS. I've seen so many gunked up so badly that they would high idle like that. Restarted forces the air...

Re: Should we keep our '02 Saturn?
Most of the time you can find serviceable subframes in the local u-pull-it type salvage yards. Also check craigslist and FB marketplace. There is one for sale here in the st Louis area for $50.

Re: Good Plastic Body Panel Glue ?
Download an app called Row52. Will show yards in your area if they are signed up on it. If they are it will also show their inventory.

Re: Wheel Hub runout
I'd drive the studs out and then use a file laid flat on the surface to clean it up.
Old school shade tree would just jack one up at a time then put it in gear and hold the file against it.
If...

Re: Straight Up Bragging Rights
No I've owned a number of others as well but none were saturns. I try to keep one car with fairly low miles for the Mrs to drive and to take on vacations and trips. THere have also been 3 pick-up's....

Re: Saturn Sl1 struggling to move
Could be something simple too. Would it back up more or would it not move at all?
Does the engine rev when you step on the gas while it's in gear?
Have you check the transmission fluid lately?...

I had the pleasure of meeting A2Saturn today as he passed thru St Louis in his immaculate 94 SL2. Even with the 430,000 on his car it is in amazing condition. It is exactly what you would expect from...

Re: Replace a/c pressure switch.
Pressure switch is a 10 min swap if you take your time. Take a little care breaking it loose so you don't twist the line but after that it is an easy on/off.
I've only seen 1 go bad.

Re: 2000 SL1 randomly idles really low
Your valve is fine... start it and let it run. It will take a couple of minutes for the new valve to adjust out and bring the idle down.
If this doesn't cure your idle issue then check the plugs,...

Re: HELP! Can't get strut back on car!
Just push down on the spindle and a little forward. It's probably the sway bar that is holding it up if you have already assembled the other side.
