Re: Max speed

The '04 -'05 Redlines topped out at 145.

I haven't taken my Outlook over 100 (highway 5 through California), but have noticed that it's very stable and smooth at high speeds - probably due to the...

Re: VUe vs Ion for Roadtrip

I drove a '96 SC2 manual from North Carolina to California with no cruise control. It's not impossible, but definitely not fun.

I've driven my '03 VUE cross country 4 times and can definitely say...

Re: Are your seatbelts cutting through.......

Yes this is a pic of the driver side.

I wonder if seat postition has anything to do with the cutting?
Perhaps too far forward or too high? Angle of seat back?
There are so many variables.

Bought mine April of 2007.
Didn't check the shroud until 6 months later when someone posted an issue.

Re: Any chance for a modern S Series?

The Civic used to be a smaller car when it first came out. Then it grew into Accord proportions. So in comes the Fit to bring back the small car.
Honda used to have interesting designs - the Prelude...

Re: New 08 in Driveway

32,000 miles on my '07 XR AWD.
Overall very pleased with our Outlook. Plus it's a really great looking vehicle.

Wish the front passenger side window had express up as well.

Enjoy your '08.

Re: Are your seatbelts cutting through.......

Mine don't.
32,000 miles and the seatbelts and the shrouds look new. I use the belts 6 times a day.
How far out are you pulling the belt? Do you pull them across your shoulder or straight out? The...

Re: Why aren't they discounted???

Recheck the specs.

Towing is maxed out at 2,200 lbs with trailer brakes and requires Premium fuel to achieve maximum performance.
The S model gets 19 & 26 and the SE and SEL get 18 & 24 which is...

Re: Why aren't they discounted???

You are attempting to put the Lambda crossovers into the same category as the typical large SUV. Even though the Lambdas may appear to be large (they share the same foot print as an Odyssey or...

Re: Best service ever!!

I mentioned my great service experiences in the doom and gloom post.

Saturn of Capitol Expressway, San Jose:
One of the best. We lived in Monterey, CA and San Jose was a bit of a drive. We would...

Re: Why aren't they discounted???

The 11 mpg seems off.
I have an '07 AWD Outlook XR and get 17 - 19 mpg in mixed driving and weighted with stop and go traffic to Seattle. On solo highway driving, I've gotten as high as 26 mpg.
The...

Re: Worst Service - Ever

Another thread to praise good experiences would be a good idea.
And some people do have valid complaints about a bad service expereince. I don't doubt their stories. But some posters take the...

Re: Worst Service - Ever

I'll chime in.

I've had excellent service from:

Saturn of Capitol Expressway, San Jose, CA
Saturn of Lynnwood, WA
Saturn of Virginia Beach, VA
Saturn of Chapel Hill (now Durham/Chapel Hill)...

Re: When will Saturn make a 50 mpg car?

Just saw a spot on the local Seattle news about a Seattle company called AFS Trinity that produced a couple of 150 mpg VUEs.

Re: 2-Way Advanced Remote Start

Could be.
But if you've ever visited the GM Accessories site, Saturn nor Saab is listed.

Re: 2-Way Advanced Remote Start

I saw the pics of the new remote next to the current one and I am disappointed in the way it looks. The remote is twice as tall and about the size of a laptop mouse. It also looks a bit "Fisher...

Re: GM May Shrink Lambda Crossovers to Make Room for Unibody Chevy Tahoe Replacement

Actually the Tahoe/Yukon SUVs are wider than the Lambdas. It's very apparent when looking at the center console and the area between the seats. The only compact area would be the so called third row....

Re: Worst Service - Ever

Usually and not at all dealerships, the lowest tech on the totem pole is given the "honor" of changing oil and rotating tires. The senior guys opt for the full service and jobs that are more time...

Heating or A/C comes on in the XR depending on the exterior temperature. Also the heated seats come on as well.
I didn't think I would use the heated washer fluid, but it has come in handy. It does...

Re: Windshield wipers failing?

On the older Saturns, the wiper arm had a nut that would loosen if too much force was applied to the wiper arm by the motor. A situation such as too much snow or the wiper arm frozen (ice) to the...

Re: Remote keyless entry not working

My theory is that whoever did the tire rotation choose the wrong relearn function when relearning the TPMS locations. Possibly through the Tech II or whatever device they currently use. Backed out of...

Re: Remote keyless entry not working

Thanks for the info. I use the DIC when rotating my tires.

On older Saturns, pushing the lock/unlock relearns the remote to the car.

What do the remotes have to do with rotating the tires?
