Re: Polyurethane Front stabilizer "D" Bushings

My '04 AWD Vue front bar measured 1" on my calipers. Been running Prothane bushings for several years along with new end links. No problems :)

Re: How do you reset the oil life monitor?

Gotta love diggin up old threads :p

The three pushes real quick did the trick today. I don't drive very far so I only get once a year oil changes on my Vue and always forget the reset procedure...

Re: How do you reset the oil life monitor?

What if you can't find your manual and did a Google search and found this forum and no answer :hmm:

Thankfully someone was serious and posted the answer http://we0h.us/Prius/Smilies/thumb.gif

Re: Diablo Tunes for 04-07 V6s - Need your help!

ZZP (http://www.zzperformance.com/) was looking for a '04-'05 AWD Vue to see if HP Tuners would communicate with it or not last summer. I never got my Vue over there or we'd have an answer by now.

Re: Upgraded sway bar?

You changed the rear plastic links for the Raybestos links? Mine are still stock but in good shape so far. When they get loose, they will get all metal links rather than plastic  Amazing seeing...

Re: Upgraded sway bar?

They are flat mounting surfaces. Do keep in mind you will have to turn down the endlink bushings to fit in the control arms but that is 5 minutes each bushing. Easy as pie. I used a very course wood...

Re: Upgraded sway bar?

On my Vue, the rear bushings are Prothane & the fronts are Energy Suspension. I had originally ordered all of them from JC Whitney which were Prothane and they quit stocking the size that fits the...

Happy Re: Lame AWD

As long as it isn't more vibration than a IRL with urethane mounts, it'll be decent. For others the vibe's might be fun

Thumbs Up Re: Lame AWD

The MacGyver repair ;) That is what I would have done for a quick fix too.
I would say if you possess the knowledge and have the resources to build a aftermarket carrier bearing assembly, do it. I...

Idea Re: Lame AWD

I wonder if a guy could make a insert to hold the bearing in the bracket other then relying on the rubber to hold it? Something machined out of a urethane block or possibly filling the area with 3M...

Question Re: Lame AWD

Why do those center bearings fail? Are they sealed on both sides or open? Can they be repacked before they fail? Is it a needle bearing or ball bearing? When they fail do they fall apart or just have...

Stiffen the rear good-n-tight and you may get some oversteer :p Wouldn't that be fun in a Vue?

BTW,
I got my rear urethane bar & endlink bushings installed yesterday. The...
