Re: 2008 Saturn Astra Red Line

Re: Body kits, the pros and cons of installation

I'll say 15's, but that's just bcause I actually USE my car, and can't have all that bad unsprung weight slowing me down!:arr:

Re: Has anyone done this or is it stuiped?

That's the way to do it 95SL2me! It's a tried and true package that has all the parts that you'll need. My only suggestion would be to also get new strut mounts all around; They're likely all dry...

I'm going to be in the Hershey, PA area this weekend visiting friends and family before driving down to Norfolk, VA on Monday. While I'm in town I plan on going back to the AACA museum in Hershey...

Re: Body kits, the pros and cons of installation

When they effectively change your gearing ratio so dramatically that your over-all speed-over-ground is dramitically higher than what your speedometer says...granted that is extreemly impractical,...

Re: Body kits, the pros and cons of installation

Personally, I wouldn't touch a '96 SC2 with a body kit. No body kit is worthy of the car. Ok, on a more serious note, the '95/6 SC2's are some of the most unique looking stock cars on the road, not...

Re: Has anyone done this or is it stuiped?

These are good words to listen, follow and learn from. I also agree that you should get the KYB struts. You said that the current struts on the car are from a '99 Saturn that had 70,000 miles on it...

Re: Has anyone done this or is it stuiped?

...um, no one was being rude, or picking on you. Yes, others have cut their springs, and some of them have replied to this thread stating that it was a bad idea. Their input was exactly what you...

Re: My first Upgrade

I don't like it, that's my personal opinion.

But, if you are just being a troll, then your not welcome here.

Re: 2008 Saturn Astra Red Line

Ok, that kinda explains it...still very cheesy. The video of the track is GREAT! We'll be getting that same hatchback here in the States right? Please say yes.

Re: 2008 Saturn Astra Red Line

Very nice commercial! Not funny, but very good at getting it's point across in a simple way.

 ...and I thought Saturns commercials here in the states were bad...that was vaugely...

Re: Transmission swap troubles

Wolfman,
Thanks, we've installed the "new" '97 trans in the car and found that the metal cups on the axel shafts and cages do not interfere with each other. The driver's side cup and cage touch but...

Transmission swap troubles

A buddy and I spent an adventurous day two weeks ago trying to swap out his well grenaded transmission. We got his trans out only to discover that the differential-to-axle seals on a 97 SC-2 are...

Re: SaturnFans.com Posts Circulating at GM

That would be a very sexy idea. I'll take my turbo diesel with a manual transmission and as a station wagon.

Oh, and by the way GM, if you really are listening, this could be here and in regular...

Re: SaturnFans.com Posts Circulating at GM

You're right on haypops. The Aveo could essentially be looked at as GM stepping up to the plate and offering a very low priced simple commuter car that is made from pre-existing technology (weren't...

Re: SaturnFans.com Posts Circulating at GM

I really like this idea! This is good for both the inner-city commuter and the person who's not nearly as concerned about having absolutely all of the latest and greatest gadgets in a silent and...

Re: 300+ hp AURA Red Line

I bought one. Every day I see more and more wagons on the road. As manufacturers offer more iterations of wagons people are finally starting to come to their senses and buy wagons instead of SUV's....
