Re: Parts shortage can keep you out of your Saturn for weeks to come.

This is the same reason I sold my Astra 7 months ago. My dealership was having problems getting oil filters and the parts guy said it was only going to get worse.

Re: Anyone else waiting on Astra parts?

My dealer didn't want to sell me 2 oil filters as they were hard to get and they needed them for the service department. I sold my Astra shortly thereafter.

Re: Front Door Locks - Which Panel to Remove?

I have done this on 2 other cars and the most challenging part is removing the first door panel, thanks for your help. I am not close to any junk yards or Saturn dealers so I ordered a remote door...

Front Door Locks - Which Panel to Remove?

I am adding power locks to my son's 1995 SC1. After searching & watching the videos it appears that it would be easier to remove the outer door panel to access the lock mechanism, rather than the...

Re: Saturn Canada

My dealer changed to a Hyundai dealer. I went to the first Saturn dealer in Calgary, 1 1/2 hour drive, to pick up some oil filters for my Astra as I could not find them at any automotive parts...

Re: Windshield Replacement

I checked the price on replacement windshield when I got a chip repaired and they quoted me $1250 (CDN). The supplier said no one in North America was making them yet and they had to be sourced from...

Re: Error Code P2097, Anybody else get this?

Don't disagree with some of your logic but I am curious about the high limit trim error code, and thinking about it, that could possibly indicate what you are suggesting, injectors full duty cycle...

Re: Astra morale low? Go for a test drive!

Totally agree, every time I drive my Astra I know why I bought it, it simply feels right. I have had many cars and have test driven many but to me the Asrta is the best fit. We can always band...

Re: Cruise control confusion..

Once I figured it out I really like how it works. It also holds the speed very well, within 1 kph up & down hills, even through the mountains.

Re: New Astra owner says hello!

Welcome!

Astra owners love the driving experience and great looks of their cars. We do have similar thoughts about parts and service but are hopeful GM will survive and provide warranty assistance...

Re: Error Code P2097, Anybody else get this?

Not sure I understand why running the tank low would lean out the mixture, that code didn't come up and the engine was not starved for fuel. Fuel starvation will result in engine misfire before it...

Re: 2009 Cars Deals are Insane

I just checked that this weekend, Black Book wholesale checked at a GM dealer is a little over $13,000 CDN, or about $1200 less than what I paid out the door. Still a killer deal but that could...

Error Code P2097, Anybody else get this?

My engine light came on 2 days ago when I was very low on fuel trying to see how accurate the BC was. My ScanGauge came up with P2097 - Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System High Limit. It reset ok (after I...

Re: XE with stock black steelies

The provice of Quebec mandated that this winter. It caused a winter tire shortage across the country in the late fall. We don't get enough snow around here to worry about that but the east can get...

Re: Something I just noticed about my 3 door...

When my back seats are down the engine noise is quite loud, almost too loud for the highway. Will have to try the window down, that would be an unexpected bonus.

Re: Motor Trend small car review

Re: No 2009 Astra for U.S. Customers, 2010 Model Due Later this Year with New Options

Hey, at least Saturn has plans for the future. It's looking better all the time :)
